Halloween

Yes, I know this is a few weeks late but better late than never right? Here are a few pictures of our Halloween celebrations this year.

Our jack-o-lantern

It didn't take long for me to realize Eli's ghost costume needed some modifications when he tried it on for the first time.

Keenyn was the cutest pirate around.

All three boys ready to go trick-or-treating. Keenyn stayed home with Dad to hand out candy. Auntie Emmy and Tal came down and went trick-or-treating with us. We had a good time and got lots of candy.

Giveaway

Blogher is having a giveaway for a Tamron lens. Actually 6 Tamron lens's. They had several different bloggers review it and it seems like a great lens. I've wanted a new lens for awhile now and this seems like just what I want. One lens that you can use for everything, no changing and hauling around a bunch of lens. You can read the reviews here, here, here, here and here as well as enter the giveaway yourself. Go check it out. If you win I'd be happy to take it off your hands. Try and win it so you can give it to me for Christmas.

Keenyn 3 Months

Grandma Smith requested some pictures of Keenyn. These are a few weeks old now but I wanted to post them anyway.

Snow Canyon

For Eli's Fall Break/UEA we went down to Snow Canyon. This has quickly become a favorite vacation spot. The camp ground there is really nice and the views can't be beat.

You have to take a picture in the big rocking chair.

Our campsite at dusk.

Keenyn on his first camping trip. He did really well.

We hiked into this small slot canyon called Jenny's canyon.

At the end of Jenny's canyon.

What Keenyn did while we hiked.

We also spent a few hours at Sand Hollow. Eli and Isaac just played in the sand and water while Chris and I relaxed in the shade. Keenyn took a nap. It was really nice.

On our last day we went to the sand dunes in Snow Canyon. The boys love this place. What's not to love for a little boy right. Or a big boy. Chris did quite a bit of playing in the sand as well.

It was a great trip. We're already planning to go back for Spring Break.

Fall Hike

My sister Jen came to Utah for General Conference weekend which was also the weekend my mom and dad got set apart as missionaries. We decided to go on a hike up the back of Timp and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. It was very pretty and a lot of fun.

All of the hikers but me and Keenyn. Chris, Isaac, Lindsey, Olivia, Jen, Emilee, Tal, Polly, Mom

It was so pretty.

All of us sisters. (And the kids that we carried.) Yes, Keenyn is wearing a purple hat. We borrowed it from Olivia because I didn't bring one. He didn't mind.

Isaac was a great little hiker.

I love the mountains especially in fall.

October Recap

Did October just fly by for anyone else? It went by so fast that one of my calendars is still on September. Here is a little recap of some of the stuff we did in October.

We had a lot of family over for General Conference. Eli and his cute cousin Joel spent all day Saturday longboarding. Eli honestly road the longboard from the front of our house to the front of our next door neighbors house for several hours. I was really surprised that he didn't come in hurt. He fell several times but just jumped right back on.

On Monday the 4th Isaac, Keenyn and I dropped my parents off at the MTC. They are now in Jamaica and doing really well. (If you want to read their mission blog, I have a link in my blog list.)

We picked the pumpkins that we grew. This one was the biggest by far. It isn't exactly round but it's still pretty cool and looks great on our porch.

(I'm glad Chris was able to lift it)

Here are some final pictures with Grandma and Grandpa Smith the day before they flew to Jamaica. We got together with all of my family that could be there and it was really fun.

It was a very fun and very busy month. Now on to birthday and holiday season.
