Just a little update on our lives lately. I bought two boxes of peaches and have spent the last week trying to figure out what to do with them. I honestly spend three days peeling and cutting peaches. Man was I glad when that was done. I ended up freezing and drying all of them. I didn't want to can them. I like dried and frozen better. But now it is all going to happen again since we have an apple tree and grapes in our yard. Shortly I will be making apple and grape juice as well as drying some apples and maybe making apple sauce. I've never made apple sauce before but people keep telling me that I should. Maybe I'll listen mostly because all members of my family expect me love apple sauce.
We (I guess I should say Chris) have decided that it is time to remodel our house. I'm excited and anxious at the same time. We live in my grandparents house so it is in desperate need of some updates. The major thing is the carpet in the kitchen. Yes, we have carpet in the kitchen and it is horrible. I hate it. So we are going to rip it out and put down tile instead. We also ripped the wall paper off of the walls in the living room and are going to paint them. The biggest problem is now that we started I don't think we will be able to stop. There is so much that Chris would like to do to this house and a lot of updating that could be done.
Finally, there is an interesting situation in our ward right now. A guy in our ward is the state representative for our district but his challenger this election is another member of the wards mother. The current representative I don't really know. I've never talked to him but have talked to his wife. The challengers daughter is one of my really good friends in the ward. I am finding that it is going to be a learning experience for me. I admit that in the past I would have voted for either one since I had some sort of connection no matter how small it is. But this election I am going to have to actually do some research and decide which one represents my opinions better. Imagine that. On a related note, the currents reps wife knocked on our door the other day and asked if we would put one of her husband's signs in our yard. I had to tell her that I wasn't sure who I was voting for yet. I felt a little awkward but decided that he could put some effort into my vote and he hasn't yet. I also had to wonder if Chris's situation had anything to do with them wanting a sign in our yard. Would it effect others opinions if the token military member of the ward supported a certain candidate?

Lagoon
I brought Eli to Lagoon on Saturday. It was his first time and of course he loved it. Here are some pictures.
This was towards the end of the day when the lines were longer. We were trying to keep the kids busy while we were waiting. By the way, the lines were way shorter in the morning so if you go to Lagoon, get there early.

Eli and his cousin Sophie. This was one of the favorite rides.

It doesn't surprise me that he would enjoy crashing into others in a car. He is always telling me to hit cars that he thinks are in our way when we drive.
Breaking the Habit
Isaac is very attached to his binky's. He will be 2 in two months and I think it is about time to give them up. Of course that is easier said than done. A few weeks ago I tried to only let him have them in his bed. I didn't do too well. He is now back to having one almost all the time. The skin on his chin is all red now from it. So, I am going to attempt this again. Eli never used a binky after he was like 4 months old so this is unchartered territory for us. I know that I am holding myself back. It is too easy for me to give in and let Isaac have it when he cries. Anyway, this picture is from the other morning. I told you he likes binky's. He did this all by himself. Eli and I got a good laugh out of it.

Auntie Emy's Wedding
My sister, Emilee, got married yesterday. It was such a great day. The weather was beautiful and everything went great. We are so excited for her and Ben. They are great for each other and we are happy to have Ben in the family. Here are some pictures of the occasion.
Eli with his cousin Joel. They are partners in trouble. Eli tripped outside the night before and got the big scrape on his head.
Kroeber boys trying to be still for the picture.
This is the best picture that I got of Emilee and Ben.
