Jamaica - Ocho Rios Misc.

We were lucky enough to go to Jamaica in January and visit my parents on their mission. We had the best time. It was worth flying with all three boys, overnight, with two layovers. Jamaica is sure nice in January. I have a bunch of pictures and of course have a hard time narrowing them down so this is the first of many posts. These are miscellaneous pictures from the first week which we spent in Ocho Rios.

Keenyn all ready for some sun.

Eating breakfast on the balcony of the condo we stayed in.

Eli eating a beef patty. They are Jamaican fast food, a curry pastry crust filled with seasoned meat. Eli loved them and wanted one anytime he saw a Juicy Patty store.

Keenyn playing with the gate to the balcony. He opened and closed this thing over and over and over.

The price board for "i scream" as they call it. $100 Jamaican is $0.85 US so the prices always seemed so high even when they weren't. We often spent $3000+ on dinner or groceries. I got used to it by the time we came home but it was really weird at first.

The boys in front of the beach at Margaritaville. (Cruise ship in the background.)

Isaac on a cannon at an old historical site in Ochie. They don't have any thing there that says what it was but my parents looked it up and it's some old fort guarding Ocho Rios (I think).

The boys at the same place, in front of the cannon this time.

View from our balcony.

Throwing Cheerios off the balcony, with an awesome view. (I didn't know they were doing this until I saw the picture and Isaac told me.)

Eli at the pool. The blue through that balcony is the ocean. We had great views.

With some of the primary kids at church.

Banana spider outside our condo. This doesn't do justice to how big the thing really was. There were several of them and they were huge. My dad said he had never seen one inside so that made me be able to sleep at night.

Our family at a restaurant called The Ruins. We walked up by the waterfall and there were really pretty pathways through the gardens. It was so green, I loved it.

The mission van that we drove around in.

We had an underwear monster visit and a skinny rib monster wanted to join him apparently.
